Take lots and lots of photos before you disassemble say the restoration gurus.. oops.

Since this particular 400 four was taken to bits over ten years ago with various parts deposited in 3 buckets, I would appear to be at a slight disadvantage!

I have the third bucket in my car boot, picked up yesterday from Jo’s garage. I’ve also taken my first photographs of the bike on its stand. I’ll take a photo of the parts bucket too before I investigate, else no one will believe I started with a rusty, siezed frame, wheels, block and three buckets of bits!

I’ve also printed out a series diagrams and exploded views from cmsnl, and put them in a clear pocket binder. My initial plan is to match parts to drawing, establishing what is missing and condition. I know the headlamp case is broken.
